Finally the Spi swells 2 February After a first day of training, The wind seems to stabilize and pushes us to an average of 5 nodes. A small swell comes from behind – which makes the boat roll and is not very comfortable… The eavesdropping slams when the sails take the wind back…

We leave the island of Matarandiba and go around islands and sandbanks to find the mouth of the Rio Paraguaçu. The same evening the anchor is placed in a narrow arm of the river on the edge of mangroves (with Jacques, Karine and Georges from the boat “Moana”).  Red Ibises fly from one shore to the other…  their red color…
