  • Abrolhos… We like!

    Underwater and incognito! Whew! we are at sea and have left Morro de Sao Paulo behind us – It's very beautiful, But that's not our idea of an authentic corner. We also caught the crève there under the showers…  or is it a memory of the air conditioning of the Yacht Club de Bahia?

  • Last days in Salvador

    We participated in the regatta… and celebrated! After almost a month in the Baia de “todos os Santos” It is time to continue our journey south. The decision is made and all we have to do is go through Salvador for the exit formalities. On the road we race…

  • Walk on the Rio de Paraguaçu

    We leave the island of Matarandiba and go around islands and sandbanks to find the mouth of the Rio Paraguaçu. The same evening the anchor is placed in a narrow arm of the river on the edge of mangroves (with Jacques, Karine and Georges from the boat “Moana”).  Red Ibises fly from one shore to the other…  their red color…

  • Warm meeting

    4 January. First stop on our tour of the “Baia de todos os santos”, the island of Matarandiba about ten miles south of the marina. Sailing down the Itaparica Canal between the sandbanks (well marked with poles) and small islands with beaches lined with coconut palms…
