Already 4 month and a half that we are in Gambier. Time flies and we start thinking about the rest of our trip... Hiking, Swimming, dive, fishing, Parties and barbecues are on the program for these last weeks.

We celebrate the new year on "Léon" – Dédé and Dom's boat – where Marc and Jane ( boat "Ratafia") are also part of the party. On the menu... Lobsters and cicadas freshly caught the night before on the flat.

  Edouard and Denise open their house to celebrate Christmas "a la Tahitian" with their friends and some sailboats...

17 December –  Departure at dawn from Taravai, direction the island of Temoe a 30 miles southeast of Mangareva. Objective fishing and visit of the island...

Saturday 2 November – We celebrate Philippe's birthday on Hibiscus with 3 Other boats (Black Pearl, Baloo and Pilou pilou), as well as Edouard, Denise and Tevaite. Philip being the king of the party, Laurent and Coraline (Black Pearl) made him "an evening outfit", which suits him to delight..... Philippe lends himself to the game…

First there is the lagoon, its crystal clear water and motus, then the volcanic islands and their lush vegetation, then the anchorages where we take ourselves for Robinson, then, then, then.... But above all, there is the warm and generous welcome of Denise and Edouard, on the island of Taravai, who make us discover Polynesia…

Many inhabitants of Puerto Villamil have farms at the foot of the Sierra Negra volcano. Sarah a 68 years, it has 50 hectares of land with many fruit trees... Orange trees, grapefruit trees, lemon trees, banana, maracuja I.... Every morning she goes to her farm to feed the pigs, chickens and clearing the trails…
