2022 – Our best moments (suite)

After passing 3 month in France we are back in New Zealand. It takes a few days to get the boat back in working order and plan the rest of our journey.
 

Notre séjour en France arrive à sa fin, nous avons emmagasiné quelques calories avec toutes les spécialités régionales, mais qu’est ce que c’est bon! De bons moments passés avec la famille et les amis!

Whangarei

Une bonne nouvelle à notre retour de France, le marriage de Julie et Graham. Un joyeux moment que nous avons partagé avec leur famille et leurs amis.


The weather is excellent for sailing along the east coast, Whangaruru our first anchorage, then the islands off Whangarei :  Hens and Chickens islands, Burguess Island, Mokoihnau Island and Atihau Island where we stay until the end of December.

The Pohutukawa more commonly known as "Christmas tree" produces masses of red flowers in the form of spikes in summer..

Native to South Africa, the Agapanthus that are part of New Zealand's landscapes can quickly turn into invasive species and harm ecosystems..


Mokohinau Island where we walk to the lighthouse. Access to the beach is not easy with these mounds of pebbles that must be climbed.


Atihau Island.

Every morning we have the visit of dolphins.
